If Maerdy Windfarm is approved by the local council it would be built in about 2 years. Each of the wind turbines needs a name.

Enter the competition to choose a name for a turbine. The turbine will have the name on a plaque on the outside of the turbine and also on any information board.

You can choose any name you like - your own, a favourite name etc. (so long as it doesn't offend anyone).

The closing date for the competition will be late Spring 2006. The names will be chosen at random and winning entries notified to winners and also posted on this web site. Only one entry per person please and under 16's only. If the windfarm is not built then we would do our best to get the winning names on another windfarm nearby.
